Resetting your iPhone to factory settings

If the company-issued phone gives errors around storage, is running slow or is being used by another person (change of Coordinators, Mentors, etc), you may need to reset your phone to factory settings.If the company issued phone gives errors around storge, is running slow or is being used by another person (change of Coordinators, Mentors etc), you may need to reset your phone to factory settings. This gives you a fresh start with the latest operating system version.


Note: During this process, you will likely lose access to any stored text messages, contacts or photos unless they have been backed up to either your emails or a working iCloud account.

Instructions


It is reccomended that you log out of your phone using steps 1-7 from the Knowledge Base article relating to signing out of or changing accounts.



1. Open the Settings application




2. Scroll down and tap General




3. Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone




4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings



If prompted about backing up the content on your phone you can choose to do this.



5. Click Continue




6. Enter the passcode for the phone




7. The phone will reset and restart
